People will be added, among a few other things, though strangely there aren't any in my photo. The scene will end up being yet another uninteresting street scene to add to the millions that have been painted in the world. But it's one picture closer to finding my way.

Yes, I'm in Tampa now, and my way of working through things is to simply do what my hand finds to do one day at a time and enjoy what there is to enjoy. I'm practicing mindfulness and listening to myself. I have no conclusions, I'm just noticing things and embracing everything that I feel, good, bad, and indifferent as I keep adding to the picture of what it really means to be me.

Oh, and I half wish I hadn't written that, because I don't want to pollute your vision, really I was just going off on my own instantaneous impression into something that has nothing to do with you but is all about ME. Still, there we are, done. You back in TB? Sounds to me like you're working through your existential crisis with great rapidity (compared anyway to me and mine).

People. (What's missing.)

I've a print that was my grandmother's and it took decades to discover what I liked about it. Similar in that it's a street scene (Paris), lots of sunlight and shadow. What took me years to figure out was that the woman walking alone had her head turned slightly, and about twenty paces behind follows a shadowy man, and this almost invisible tension and contrast with the springtime atmosphere is what, for me, makes the picture.

I know this was off your subject but I can relate to losing grasp of the bigger picture from being caught up in the details way too well to say any more about it.
